Just a trick to play to download from rapidshare without wait time.

Itz working for me. Hope it works for u also.

The main thing is my IP address changes as soon as i disconnect the internet(hope itz the same with u people also).

So, once i download 100 MB(or be it any amount), i just disconnect the net, wait for minimumum of 5 to 10 seconds, and connect back again. I get a new IP address with which i can download from rapidshare without waittime. This is not for simultaneous downloads, just to download one after another without wait time...

Here's A Cool Tip to help you set auto-shutdown of your computer after a specified amount of time.
this is a simple shutdown command to set your computer to close all running applications and shutdown properly after predefined time. This tip is very useful to save energy and time. After the execution of this command, a small window will appear to count time of system shutdown. You can cancel this auto shutdown process also.

Follow the steps below to set a auto-shutdown process:
1.Click on Start>run
2.type "shutdown.exe -s -t xxx" Without quotations. Here xxx is the time in seconds. you can set any value to it.
for further details, refer the image below :
3.A small window opens, saying " your system will be shutting down after xxx time"
4.after the time is over , all the applications will be closed and the system shuts down

In the Figure Above, xxx is set to 300 seconds. that means the above command in the figure will auto-shutdown the computer after exactly 5 minutes.

You can also deactivate this auto-shutdown if you want to cancel it after activation
just follow these steps:
1.Click on start>run
2.type "shutdown.exe -a" ( this means ABORT)

Well, Guys , We already have a great browser Mozilla Firefox with almost all the people using it to date..Though,what they say that " human being's wishes are non-ending" hmm :).
Now there's something we have to do to make Mozilla Firefox work even faster then it actually is.

CAREFUL!
This trick will be more effective for Broadband connection
1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit enter.
2.Type "pipe" in the filter

You'll see the following results:
i)network.http.pipelining

ii)network.http.proxy.pipelining

iii)network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Alter these entries as follows:
1.Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
2.Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
3.Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
4.Now right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!
You Can Always Revert these Changes back to default by unistalling Firefox and then Reinstalling it, if you encounter any problems [ normally it shouldn't happen]

Just imagine if multiple users are using the same computer at home or in office environment then there is no any 100% secure method to protect your personal files. You may be used any third party tools to protect your folders but it is not recommended by Microsoft to use such kinds of tools. Using built-in windows (XP, 2003, Vista) Attrib commands option, you can change the attributes of a folder (Read only, Hidden and System attributes) and secure your data.
Follow the given steps to edit the folders attributes to secure your data:
To enable this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
Now create a folder that you want to hide on any computer drive. (For example, you have created a folder on D drive with the name Data)
CAREFUL!
Just Follow These Steps:
1.First click on Start button and type cmd in Run box then press Ok button to display the windows command prompt.
2. Now type the command "attrib +s +h D:\Data" without quotation marks and press Enter button to execute it.
3.This command will hide your "Data" folder from D drive and now you can verify it.
4.Any one cannot unhide this folder using windows "Show hidden files and folders" option also.
5.When you want to unhide this folder, again open command prompt and type the command "attrib -s -h D:\Data" and press Enter button. If you want to hide some files then simply move all these files to this "Data" folder.

Disabling CD/DVD Autorun Feature In Windows XP

In windows XP you can enjoy a good feature to run CD or DVD automatically when you loaded it into your CD drives on your computer. This is a default feature in windows XP but you can disable and enable it according to your nature of work. In user interface mode there is no option to disable or enable this feature, you must edit the registry of windows and be careful to work with registry.

Steps:

Click Start button then type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

Here locate the location to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
Here you can disable or enable automatically running your CD. Change the value of Autorun to 0 for disable and change the value to 1 for enable. At the end restart your computer for this change.

Increase Your Broadband Connection Speed

You can increase the speed of your broadband internet connection, if you are using windows XP on your computer. This is built-in feature of windows XP to reserve the 20 percent of bandwidth of your internet connection, but you can override of this default setting. By enabling these setting, you can use this reserve bandwidth and enjoy your speedy broadband internet connection. You can set reserve able limit from 0 to 100 percent, but if you want to enjoy 100 percent bandwidth of internet connection, you should configure bandwidth limit 0 percent.

1.First click on Start button then type "GPedit.msc" in Run option and press Enter.
2.Under "Local Computer Policy" expand the "administrative templates"
3.Here in right side window expand the "Network" then highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"
4.Now again in right side window, double click on "limit reservable bandwidth".
5.Under the "Limit reservable bandwidth properties" dialog box check "enabled" then change the "Bandwidth limit %" to zero.
6.Now close the Group Policy editor and restart your compute, after any changes to go into effect.
